Georgia Wine Producers announces they have hired Taree Darby as the Executive Director of their statewide organization.
“I am honored to accept the position of Executive Director,” Darby says. “I have developed a deep passion for local business over the years, especially our incredible wineries and vineyards here in Georgia. I cannot wait to begin my journey with this organization and support our growing viticulture industry”
Taree has spent her career building skills for a position just like this one. She spent a decade at Panera Bread where she honed in on Learning and Development and Business Management. A change in heart took her skills to a more local platform where she acted as a Human Resource Director. In the last three years, she has worked at Engelheim Vineyards where she gained a true passion for Georgia grown wines. She also supports businesses local to her by managing their social media platforms where she sees much success.
“We are proud to have Taree leading our organization. She will continue to help us reach our strategic goals and continue to support the growth of commercial wine production in Georgia,” says Eric Seifarthl, president of the Georgia Wine Producers.
Taree will be serving as legislative liaison for the Georgia Wine Producers to accomplish legislative goals set forth by the board through relationship building, communication, and representation at legislative functions. She will work with event committees to organize and run all aspects of the Association’s major events, currently the Annual Conference, Georgia Wine Highway and future Georgia Wine Producers sanctioned wine events.She will also organize and execute additional seminars and educational opportunities for members and associate members, as well as implementing additional benefits of membership for the organization.
